Prerequisites

Before creating a Salary Structure Assignment, it is advisable you create the following documents:

            • Employee
            • Salary Component
            • Salary Structure

  1. Click on ‘Salary Structure Assignment’ under [Assignment] section and you will arrive at Salary Structure Assignment Listing
  2. Click ‘+ Add Salary Structure Assignment’ to create a new Salary Structure Assignment.
  3. Select the Employee and Salary Structure.
  4. Select the From Date from which this particular Salary Structure will be applicable.
  5. Select current year Income Tax Slab for the employee.
  6. Enter Base and Variable amount as per requirement. Base amount refers to the Base Salary of the Employee, which is fixed and paid out, regardless of employees meeting their goals.
  7. Variable pay, on the other hand, is the portion of sales compensation determined by employee performance. When employees hit their goals (aka quota), variable pay is provided as a type of bonus, incentive pay, or commission.
  8. Click Save and Submit a new Salary Structure Assignment will be created.

Notes:

  1. In ByondHR, the Income Tax Slab will be maintained in system by default, you don’t have to create your own Income Tax Slab. We will update the latest Income Tax Slab (and other tax related documents) from time to time.
